BK SUMMER is a 5 day (queer-centric) movement and networking program. Each day consists of a 2 hr movement workshop from one of the teaching artists and a 2.5 creative process session with BIGKID DANCE Director Mark Caserta. Throughout the program there will be time to connect, have communal discussions and share the creative process work.

The studio space is limited, therefore we will be selecting a small group for the program. Please see submission details below.

Please send an email to bigkiddance@gmail.com (with subject “BK SUMMER 2026 Submission”) including a 2 minute video of an improvisational practice that captures your creativity and physicality. The video can be an attached file or a Vimeo/YouTube link. Please also include a headshot and your Name and DOB.

You must be 18 years of age to apply.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE APRIL 25

Applicants will be notified of acceptance by April 27th. Participating artists coming from outside of Philly are expected to find their own housing and transportation.
